Rebuilt “Cockleshell” G&T Monarch

Rebuilt “Cockleshell” G&T Monarch

Categories: Gramophone

Here is an interesting restoration project based on the “Gramophone and Typewriter” Monarch available from between 1904 and1910.

The gramophone had, at some time, been unsuccessfully re-motored and has now been provided with a good “Collaro” single spring motor that works well. The oak case, back-bracket , tone arm and “ Exhibition” sound-box are original. The spectacular brass horn is also original, but possibly not from a G&T machine.

The gramophone comes with 100 needles and a selection of six 78s if required. Delivery by courier is not ideal so the gramophone should be collected in person from TR8 5SE.

Price £550.00
