Here is an original horned gramophone from about 1910. The case has no markings, but the sound-box that was present when purchased was marked “Commonwealth British Made” and had the eight sided shape that was characteristic of this lesser known make. If the usual logo had been present on the case it would have been a picture of a Guardsman in uniform. It is reasonable to assume that the gramophone is in fact a “Guardsman” model. The gramophone plays well with a good replacement sound-box, but the original can be supplied with the machine.

The gramophone would have to be collected in person from TR8 5SE as delivery by courier is not recommended. It comes with 100 needles and a selection of six 78s if required.
