Here is another nice example of the HMV Model 102, this time from about 1934. The gramophone is in a black case in very good condition, it has been fully serviced and plays very well using a No. 5B sound-box that is in excellent condition showing no signs of “pot-metal decay”.
This version of the 102 has the improved auto-brake that actually works!
The HMV 102 is probably the most sought after gramophone amongst collectors and enthusiasts. It can usually be relied on to be played regularly, whereas most early horned and other gramophones should be used sparingly.
The gramophone is supplied with 100 needles and a small selection of 78s if required. Delivery with DPD (Next day) is £30 and with Hermes £15
