Columbia Model 202 Portable Gramophone

Columbia Model 202 Portable Gramophone

Categories: Gramophone

Here is a nice example of the Columbia model 202 from about 1930. Columbia gramophones were always well made and with very good sound-boxes, here , the number15A. There is a double spring Garrard motor, unusual for a portable gramophone, and giving extra power. The red case is in good condition and the fittings are mostly nickel plated. Some parts have lost some electroplating, but the overall condition is very good. Sound reproduction is particularly good.

The gramophone comes with 100 needles and a selection of 78s if required.
