In 1931 “The Gramophone Company” (HMV) and Columbia cam together to be part of EMI. Although wind-up gramophones were coming to the end of their reign, EMI continued to manufacture gramophones and the model 205 is from that period.
The gramophone is of standard design with a smaller turntable and the good quality No.22 ( Earlier Columbia 15a) soundbox. The model 88 with the HMV logo is almost identical. There is an auto-brake and small slotted winder.
This small portable plays well and has been fully serviced.
