Apollo Portable Gramophone.

Here is a really good looking portable Apollo gramophone . Apollo was the name used by Craies & Stavridi of London who had links with the Swiss Paillard Company who probably made this model. Apollo gramophones together with Decca are distinctive in their use of the “Reflex” sounds system in which the sound from the sound-box travels up a short tone arm and is reflected back to the listener via a bowl in the lid of the gramophone. Here the bowl is wood and is inscribed with attractive images of Apollo, the Greek god pf music (and other things!).

The gramophone s in very good condition with some marks on the lid and plays well with the original Apollo sound-box.
It comes with 100 needles and a small selection of 78s of needed.
Price £180.00 plus carriage (About £12 with Royal Mail).
