Here is a basic horned gramophone from about 1910. It has no well known name and comes under the heading of a “Swiss” horned gramophone. These were original machines imported into the UK from Germany and Switzerland early in the 20th century when there was a shortage of reasonably priced machines.
This gramophone has a well made oak case with nicely moulded trim, a good “Exhibition” type sound-box and Continental embossed steel horn that has been re-painted in shades of blue. There is an early single spring (uncased) motor. The lid is hinged at the back so the motor can be viewed.
This gramophone would have to be collected in person from TR8 5SE as I am unwilling to use a courier for items like this.
