HMV Model 102 Portable.

This an example of a much sought after portable gramophone, the HMV 102. This one in a blue case. Coloured examples of the HMV 102 are difficult to find nowadays and usually sell quickly. This one shows signs of wear and has had the felt on the turntable replaced. Also the initials of a previous owner are stamped onto the top lid. This was often done for members of the armed services or for people who travelled abroad a lot. The machine plays very well and is fitted with the preferred No.5A sound box. The internal plating is in good condition but there is some loss of plating on the lid catch.

The general condition is quite reasonable and the gramophone is a bargain at the price
